Custom Keyboards Trading

Trading in Custom Keyboards happens on a 4-player server. There is no giant auction house this wiki can link. You walk to a person, open a window, and either leave richer or leave missing a mutant. Rules that actually matter

• Confirm items in the window match the chat offer.
• Never go first.
• Never trade your only Kick Power keyboard for a cosmetic.
• Never keep auto-sell on.
• Never trust owner giveaway claims in a public server.

If a deal feels fast, it is because someone else needs it to be fast. You can kick and step while you think. Offline earnings also exist; you are not late.

Value language

Talk in step money, mutation, and whether you still need the piece. S for S only works if both people mean the same S. Use keycap tiers as a shared alphabet, then check the HUD. A mutant B that pays like an A is not a scam; it is a mutation. See mutations.

Do not import values from Build a Keyboard, Paint My Keyboard, or keyboard escape games. Those economies are unrelated. Do not import Roblox limited RAP. These keycaps are tycoon items.

During Boba, themed pieces spike. Ask whether the quest is still active. If the quest is done and the cap pays poorly, it is a collectible, not a wage.

Scam patterns on small servers

Window swap: items change at accept. Cancel if the list flickers.

Go-first: they will leave the server. Four players means they are gone in one teleport.

Wrong game: they send a link to a lookalike. Stay on Custom Keyboards.

Script assist: perfect instant accepts after you add. If their kicks also look robotic, assume auto-sell is armed. Close.

Fake owner: cemoshh (cemo) runs Kick a Keyboard. A random display name with cemo in it is not a drop party.

When not to trade

• First hour on a new account. Getting Started.
• Right before rebirth if the prompt might wipe the item.
• While a Boba box is unclaimed and the item might be quest-locked.
• While you are angry about a dry kick streak. Dry streaks are normal; rare keycaps is a filter, not a promise.

Aftercare

Place the new piece. Step it. If it underperforms, you still have a board. Rebuild using best setups. Redeem codes on this account yourself; trades do not move promo strings.

If the other three players are AFK farmers, hop. A dead server is not a market. Park a full board before you hop so offline earnings still tick. When you land, scan plots for people who are standing in a safe zone, not people mid-kick. Offer duplicates first. Keep your only high earner. If chat only says W or L, ask for the exact rarity band and whether a mutation is attached. Vague letters are how people donate S caps.

Good traders are boring. They check the window, they decline go-first, they keep Kick Power. Be boring on purpose, then go step the new piece before you list anything else. If you need a shop order after a bad deal, upgrade priority is how you recover without panic Robux. Hop once if the server is three AFK scripts and one empty plot. You cannot trade with a brick. When you find a real player, offer one duplicate and stop talking. The window will do the rest if both sides can actually read rarity tags.
